Ohio State WR Noah Brown sustains broken leg, will miss season

Ohio State wide receiver Noah Brown sustained a broken leg in practice on Wednesday and will miss the entire season, the teamannounced Wednesday night.
Brown will undergo surgery Thursday and a full recovery is expected.
Earlier reports on Wednesday evening indicated Brown had suffered a “serious” leg injury. Reports of an injury at practice began picking up on social media after Ohio State canceled a previously scheduled media availability session.
Brown, a sophomore from Flanders, N.J., played in 13 games as a true freshman last season at receiver, H-Back and on special teams. He recorded one catch for 9 yards in a win over Illinois.
Brown was expected to be a significant contributor at wide receiver this season. In April, Northeast Ohio Media Group called him “the most talked about Buckeye in spring practice,” and Meyer recently said Smith’s spot in the receivers rotation was “solidified.”
A four-star recruit out of Pope John XXIII Regional High School, Brown was ranked the No. 9 athlete in the class of 2014 by Rivals.com.
Prior to the reports of Brown’s injury, a number of Ohio State players and wide receivers coach Zach Smith shared somber messages on Twitter.
This is not our plan... This is God's plan. Have to have #Faith in His plan and stay true to Him - It will all work out in the end. 🙏🏼
