Big East announces 2015–16 college basketball conference schedule
The Big East Conference has released its schedule for the 2015–16 regular season.
The season will begin on Dec. 30 with Seton Hall taking on Marquette as well as Georgetown playing DePaul at All-State Arena.
The rest of the conference will commence action on Dec. 31 in a slate of games that will feature Xavier at Villanova, Providence at Butler and Creighton versus St. John's at Carnesecca Arena.
Villanova finished last year atop the Big East standings with their 16–2 record before losing to NC State in the Sweet 16. The Wildcats highlight the conference's New Year's marathon on Jan. 2 with a game against Creighton at 10 p.m. ET in Omaha.

All 10 teams will be in action on the same day for the New Year's marathon as well as Feb. 6 and March 5.
St. John's will play six games at Madison Square Garden with the first coming against Georgetown on Jan. 13 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
Thirteen games will be broadcast on FOX. Two games will air on CBS Sports. Fox Sports 1 will carry the rest of the 55 games.
