Oklahoma enters Week 2 as the No. 19 in the country after cruising 41–3 over Akron in the season opener. The Sooners posted 539 yards of total offense and forced two turnovers on defense. They lost all four of their games against ranked opponents last season by an average of 18 points per game.
The Volunteers, ranked No. 23 in the country, come in with some momentum of their own after a 59–30 win over Bowling Green. Two sophomores, Jalen Hurd and Alvin Kamara, carried most of the load on offense with 169 combined yards on 38 carries. The Vols haven’t been ranked this high in the AP poll since Sept. 10, 2012.
