Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams confirmed Wednesday that he has a broken finger on his throwing hand and said he is a game-time decision for Saturday against Georgia State.

Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams confirmed Wednesday that he has a broken finger on his throwing hand and said he is a game-time decision for Saturday against Georgia State.

“I don't know, we’ll see,” Adams said, according to The Oregonian. ‘It’s a game time decision. It’s feeling good. I feel like I’m going to play.”

Adams, a fifth-year transfer from Eastern Washington, was injured in the Ducks’ season opener against his former school. He played through the injury in last week’s loss to Michigan State, completing 22 of 39 passes for 309 yards with two interceptions and a touchdown. 

Longtime backup Jeff Lockie, a redshirt junior, has been splitting reps in practice with Adams, Adams said. 

Georgia State moved to 1–1 last week by beating New Mexico State. The Panthers lost to first-year FBS program Charlotte in the season opener.
