Lawson, who injured his hip in the Tigers’ season-opening win over Louisville on Sept. 5, did not travel with the team to Baton Rouge. The injury has been described as a “hip flexor” according to the report.
The sophomore sat out Auburn’s 27–20 overtime win over Jacksonville State last week and has been using crutches for the past two weeks.
Lawson had two tackles for loss, and one sack, before leaving in the second half against Louisville on Sept. 5.
Auburn (2–0) visits LSU (1–0) at 3:30 p.m. on CBS.
