Junior running back William Stanback has been dismissed from UCF, the team announced on Tuesday morning.
Stanback failed multiple marijuana tests, according to ESPN’s Joe Schad.
“William Stanback has been dismissed from the football team for continuous failure to comply with athletic policy and team rules,” UCF Athletics said in an official statement.
Stanback rushed for 697 yards and 10 touchdowns on 189 carries last season.
He played in two games for UCF this season, rushing 12 times for 11 yards.
The Knights are currently 0–3. They are set to take on South Carolina on Saturday.
