Alabama freshman running back Bo Scarbrough has returned to the team after his four-game suspension, and may get to play soon, according to Michael Casagrande of AL.com.

Scarbrough, an Alabama-native, was rated as a five-star athlete in the 2014 class by Rivals.com, but was academically ineligible to play during the 2014 season. He was eligible for spring practice, but tore his ACL in April.

Alabama coach Nick Saban said Scarbrough's suspension was due to an NCAA issue relating to amateurism.

"He's been practicing, he's been cleared medically and his suspension is over," Saban told AL.com. "We're going to work hard to try to create a role for him. It may take some time to get him back in the groove of things, but that's certainly the plan."

The Crimson Tide play Georgia in a SEC matchup Saturday.

Alabama is a betting underdog for the first time since 2009
