At halftime of their game against TCU, Texas Longhorns cornerback Kris Boyd's Twitter account retweeted a tweet about transferring.
Twitter user dannyboy_9161 tweeted at a couple of Longhorns players about wanting to transfer after they entered the halftime locker room trailing 37–0 to the No. 4 team in the nation. The Longhorns would lose 50–7.

“I extend my sincerest apology to all of the Longhorn fans and family and everyone at UT,” Boyd said in the statement. “In no way did I intend to be disrespectful or disloyal. That I am 100 percent committed to this team and program.”
