Ohio State WR Corey Smith out for season with to leg injury
Ohio State wide receiver Corey Smith out for season with leg injury.
Ohio State wide receiver Corey Smith will miss the rest of the season with a leg injury, coach Urban Myer confirmed Monday.
Smith, a senior, left Saturday's 34-27 victory over Indiana in the third quarter after making a block. Smith went down during the play, and was eventually carted off the field with his leg in an air cast.
Smith has five receptions for 62 yards so far this season. Ohio State also lost wide receiver Noah Brown for the season after he broke his leg at practice in late August.
In his first year with the football program last season, Smith had 20 catches for 255 yards.
The Buckeyes (5-0) will host Maryland on Saturday.
