Fresno State wide receiver Chris Pryor has been dismissed from the football program after he was arrested Monday for threatening to incite a campus shooting, according to Barrett Sallee of Bleacher Report.

“Chris Pryor was a walk-on freshman football player for us,” coach Tim DeRuyter told TMZ. “Up until this incident we had no negative dealings with him on or off the field.”

Pryor made the threat via his Yik Yak account and attached a picture of the university library to the message.

“the time is here,” Pryor wrote. “@3PM I will release my frustrations. Tired of dirty looks, get rejected, nd being talked about bc how I dress. My choice of weapon M4 Carbine.”

The post was seen by students and reported to school authorities three hours before the shooting was said to begin. Soon after, Pryor was traced and taken into custody at 2:28 p.m.

The 18-year-old was later booked at Fresno County Jail for making a criminal threat. He has since confessed to making the threat, but has not given a reason for making it.

Pryor, a Los Angeles native, had not yet played for the Bulldogs this season.

He now faces a $20,000 bond.
