Four-star 2017 CB Terry Petry commits to Houston

Four-star cornerback Terry Petry committed to Houston on Friday.

Four-star cornerback Terry Petry has committed to Houston, he announced Friday.

Petry, a native of Missouri City, Texas, is ranked No. 24 among the country’s best cornerbacks in the class of 2017. He also attracted interest from Texas and Kansas.

In addition to playing the cornerback position, the Ridge Point High School junior can also be used as a wide receiver and kick returner.

Petry is Houston’s second commit in the class of 2017, joining three-star linebacker Derek Parish, a Pearland, Texas native.

The No. 25 Cougars (8–0) will face the Cincinnati Bearcats (5–3) on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
