Oklahoma State defensive end Jimmy Bean is out for the season with a torn ACL, reports Scout.com’s Robert Allen.

Bean sustained the injury during the Cowboys’ win over Texas Tech last week. Bean was in midst of his 34th consecutive start before he injured his knee.

Bean has eight sacks in his career and has started every game at defensive end for the Cowboys since the beginning of his redshirt junior season. In eight games this season, Bean has recorded 5 1/2 sacks.

The No. 14 Cowboys are undefeated and playing conference rival TCU on Saturday. The Horned Frogs are ranked No. 8 in the first set of college football playoff rankings.
