TCU receiver Josh Doctson out for regular season, may return for bowl
TCU receiver Josh Doctson will miss at least the remainder of the regular season but could be available for the Horned Frogs’ bowl game, head coach Gary Patterson told reporters Wednesday.
Doctson, a senior, injured his wrist on Nov. 7 against Oklahoma State. A radio producer tweeted last week that Patterson said Doctson was done for the year, but later clarified that he misheard what the coach had said. Doctson did play in TCU’s close win over Kansas last week but managed just one catch for 12 yards.

In 10 games this season, Doctson has 79 receptions for 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns. He is a semifinalist for the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award.
The Horned Frogs are 9–1 this season and have two games left in the regular season—Saturday at Oklahoma and Nov. 27 at home against Baylor.
