The No. 21 Mississippi State Bulldogs will host the No. 18 Ole Miss Rebels Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field on Saturday.
The Rebels (8–3) are coming off a 38–17 victory over the LSU Tigers last Saturday. Junior quarterback Chad Kelly threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns to help Ole Miss pick up its eighth win of the season.
The Bulldogs also earned their eighth win of the season, defeating the Arkansas Razorbacks 51–50. Mississippi State took a 31–14 point lead in the second quarter before Arkansas notched 28 unanswered points to take the lead. The Bulldogs pulled of a comeback to pick up the one-point win.
In last year's Egg Bowl, Ole Miss prevailed 31–17 over its chief rival.
