Kentucky's Tyler Ulis suffers elbow injury vs. South Florida

Kentucky sophomore guard Tyler Ulis exited Friday's game against South Florida with a hyperextended elbow injury, the team announced

Ulis suffered the injury in the first half of the game as he attempted to recover a loose ball before a Bulls player landed on his arm. Ulis was examined by team doctors before being ruled out of the game. 

Isaiah Briscoe assumed point guard duties in his absence. Ulis returned to the court in the second half with his arm wrapped and sat on the Wilcats' bench.

Ulis is averaging 14.2​ points, 4.8 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game this season. He scored a career-high 21 points against Wright State on Nov. 20. 

Kentucky improved to 5–0 with Friday's 84–63 win over South Florida. The Wildcats will face Illinois State on Monday. Ulis is listed as day-to-day.
