STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) Oklahoma State quarterback Mason Rudolph didn't start in the Cowboys' loss to Oklahoma on Saturday night because of a foot injury, and coach Mike Gundy said the sophomore is questionable for the team's bowl game.

Rudolph limped at times last week against Baylor, when he threw for 430 yards and three touchdowns. Gundy said he didn't feel Rudolph would be able to protect himself against Oklahoma, so J.W. Walsh got most of the reps during the week in preparation for a game that would determine the Big 12 champion.

''We could have played him more, but I was not real comfortable,'' Gundy said.

Gundy said a decision about Rudolph's status would be made during the upcoming week.

Walsh got the start Saturday and passed for 325 yards and two touchdowns in Oklahoma State's 58-23 loss. Rudolph entered the game for one possession in the second quarter, and he threw three incomplete passes, including an interception that Jordan Thomas returned 32 yards for a touchdown.

Rudolph has passed for 3,591 yards this season, the third-most in Oklahoma State history, and has thrown 21 touchdown passes and just nine interceptions. He has a 12-2 record as a starter and led the Cowboys to a 10-0 start.
