Watch: L.J. Scott touchdown gives Michigan State win over Iowa
Michigan State claimed the Big Ten championship—and almost assuredly a spot in the playoff—with a late touchdown from L.J. Scott on Saturday.
Scott fought his way into the end zone, stretching the ball over the goal line for a score on third down with less than 30 seconds to go to give the Spartans a 16–13 lead over Iowa.

The touchdown capped a 22-play, 82-yard drive by the Spartans. The drive took up more than half of the fourth quarter, and included a clutch fourth-and-two conversion from quarterback Connor Cook.

Iowa and Michigan State played each other very closely, trading field goals for much of the game. Each team scored only one touchdown, with both coming in the fourth quarter.
The loss was Iowa’s first of the season. Both teams finish the regular season at 12–1.
