South Carolina head coach Will Muschamp will retain Shawn Elliott as the Gamecocks’ offensive line coach, the team announced Monday.

Elliott, South Carolina’s offensive line coach for six years, served as the team’s interim head coach this season after former coach Steve Spurrier resigned in October.

The Gamecocks went 1–5 with Elliott at the helm, including a five-game losing streak to finish the season. South Carolina hired Muschamp to replace Elliott earlier this month.

“I am pleased to keep Shawn on the staff,” Muschamp toldThe State. “He loves the University of South Carolina and has done a fantastic job here.”
