Texas Bowl: Game time, live stream, TV information
The 7–5 Texas Tech Red Raiders and the 8–3 LSU Tigers will meet in the AdvoCare V100 Texas Bowl on Dec. 29.
Texas Tech started the season 3–0, then proceeded to lose five of their next seven games. The Red Raiders ended the year with wins over Kansas State and Texas to become bowl eligible.
LSU, meanwhile, started 7–0 behind unbelievable play from once-Heisman favorite Leonard Fournette. But losses to Alabama, Arkansas and Ole Miss pushed the Tigers further down the CFP rankings. Les Miles was placed on the hot seat, and Fournette fell out of the running for college football’s top honor. They finished with a win over Texas A&M, and Miles was carried off the field.
The Red Raiders will be without wideout Devin Lauderdale, who has been suspended for the game “due to a failure to uphold Texas Tech Athletic Department Student-Athlete Expectations.”
