Ohio State offensive guard Pat Elflein will return for senior season
Ohio State offensive guard Patrick Elflein announced on Twitter that he will return for his fifth season with the Buckeyes.
“With ALL focus on ND. I have decided to return for my last year and help this team achieve our goals. Thanks for the support #BuckeyeNation," Elflein wrote.
Elflein has started at guard since last season. This year he was named All-Big Ten, as well as second-team All-America by both SI and the AP.
The Buckeyes will lose center Jacoby Boren and tacklesTaylor Decker and Chase Farris from this year’s offensive line. Elflein served as the top backup to Boren the last two seasons and could start at center in 2016.
Ohio State will play Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl on New Year's Day to finish its season.
