Wisconsin RBs coach expects Corey Clement to play vs. USC

Wisconsin running backs coach John Settle expects tailback Corey Clement to play in the Holiday Bowl against USC.
Clement missed eight games with a sports hernia injury this season that has lingered into the postseason. He has reportedly been practicing for about a week.
“He’s getting a lot of reps, so I certainly expect him to play,” Settle said, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. “I’d say it’s a better than 75 percent chance that he’s going to play. And I believe if he plays he’s going to play well.”
Clement last appeared Nov. 21 against Northwestern, when he carried the ball 10 times for 24 yards and a touchdown.
“(Clement’s) not himself, but he hasn’t been himself all season,” Settle said. “He’s given us valuable reps. He’s practicing fast. I like what he’s done. I like his tempo, that type of thing. We’ll just have to wait and see what he’s like when we get to game day.”
Clement, a junior, was cited for disorderly conduct earlier in the season.
