“One of the things (former Memphis head coach Justin) Fuente put in place Day 1, if you do things right, the little things, so to speak, if you give back to your community, if you are a person of character who reaches out to other people and is available to help and give somebody a helping hand, it makes you a better person, it makes you a better player,” interim coach Darrell Dickey told reporters at media day.
Wednesday’s game between 9–3 Memphis and 6–6 Auburn kicks off at noon ET and will be televised on ESPN.
