Clemson pulled off a perfectly-executed fake punt to keep a scoring drive alive in the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma.

Clemson punter Andy Teasdall took the snap on fourth-and-four, and instead of punting rolled to his right before unleashing a throw down the left sideline. It landed in the arms of defensive lineman Christian Wilkins, who had beaten two unexpecting defenders, for a 31-yard-catch and the first down.

Two plays later, quarterback Deshaun Watson would take the ball in on a five-yard touchdown run and a 10–7 Tigers lead.

Clemson notes it was the first catch in school history ever made by a defensive lineman.

The winner of the Orange Bowl will advance to the national championship game on Jan. 11
