Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney got visibly angry after Alabama executed an onside kick in the fourth quarter of the national title game against Clemson.
After a field goal tied the game at 24, the Crimson Tide recovered a surprise onside kick on the ensuing kickoff. Swinney was convinced Alabama was offside on the play, and thus, elicited an irate reaction.
Alabama then converted on a touchdown from Jake Coker to O.J. Howard to take a 31–24 lead.
