Georgia Southern topped Appalachian State in dramatic fashion on Monday night, as Eagles guard Mike Hughes converted a four-point play in the final second of the game.
Hughes, who scored 19 points in the game, was fouled as he pulled up from near the center-court logo with 0.8 seconds left to play. The three-pointer tied the game at 100 and Hughes went to the line for a chance to take the lead.
Hughes buried the free throw, too.
