Four-star cornerback Tyler Byrd has flipped his commitment from Miami to Tennessee. Byrd announced his decision on Periscope on Tuesday, just one day before National Signing Day.

Byrd had been committed to the Hurricanes for nearly a year.

He is ranked No. 20 at his position and the No. 237 overall recruit in the class of 2016, according to Scout.com

Following Byrd’s announcement Tennessee head coach Butch Jones boasted on Twitter that the team had acquired a “big time athlete from the sunshine state.”
