The SEC wants to prevent Michigan from holding spring practice in Florida, reports CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd.

The league will attempt to prohibit the Wolverines’ plans by asking the NCAA to rule against college football teams holding practices during spring break.

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh said earlier this month that his team would begin its first week of spring practice in Florida during the university’s spring break from Feb. 27 to March 6. The practices are set to take place at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

The Detroit Free Press first reported in January that the program was considering the trip.

The Wolverines finished the 2015 season with a 10–3 record, after defeating Florida 41–7 in the Citrus Bowl on Jan. 1.
