Four-star DT Haskell Garrett commits to Ohio State
Four-star defensive tackle Haskell Garrett has committed to Ohio State, he announced on Twitter on Tuesday.
Garrett is the nation’s No. 2 defensive tackle and 22nd overall prospect in the class of 2017, according to Scout.com. He is ranked as the top player at his position in Nevada, as well as the best in the western region of the country.
The Las Vegas native out of Bishop Gorman High School also considered offers from Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Penn State, Texas A&M and Oregon. He made his decision after the Buckeyes offered him a scholarship on Feb. 2, without making a visit to the school.
Garrett is the second defensive tackle in the class of 2017 to commit to Ohio State, joining Jerron Cage.
