Harbaugh: Derrick Green no longer on Michigan's football team
Former five-star running back prospect Derrick Green is no longer with Michigan's football program, head coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed on Friday.
Last month, CollegeFootballTalk reported that Green was granted his release and was planning on transferring.
Green was once ranked the top running back prospect in the class of 2013 but has failed to live up to the title. He finished last season with 47 rushes for just 157 yards in nine games. He finished his three years at Michigan with 898 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.

He was left off Michigan's travel roster for the Citrus Bowl win over Florida due to an “internal matter.”
If Green graduates in the spring, he would be eligible to compete as a graduate transfer next season.
