Baylor’s Devin Chafin arrested, suspended for marijuana possession
Baylor running back Devin Chafin was suspended Friday by coach Art Briles following his arrest in Oklahoma for possession of marijuana, reports the Austin American-Statesman’s Suzanne Halliburton.
Chafin was arrested after being pulled over for speeding on his return to Waco, Texas from a spring break trip in Colorado, where marijuana is legal. Police discovered multiple bottles filled with marijuana in the vehicle.
As a redshirt junior in 2015, Chafin had 121 carries for 578 yards and nine scores for the Bears. In his three seasons with Baylor, Chafin has rushed for 1,256 yards and 21 touchdowns on 252 carries.
