Report: Mike Dunleavy Sr. will become Tulane coach
Tulane is close to hiring Mike Dunleavy Sr. as its new head coach, reports Yahoo Sports’s Pat Forde.
Dunleavy, who has spent his entire coaching career in the NBA, has not coached since 2010, when he was with the Los Angeles Clippers. Dunleavy also coached the Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks and Portland Trail Blazers during his time in the Association.
Tulane joined the American Athletic Conference in 2014, but has won only nine of its conference games since entering the league. The Green Wave recently fired Ed Conroy after six seasons—in only one of which the team finished with a winning record.

In his NBA career, Dunleavy went 613–716. His most successful season came in his first year, when he led the Lakers to an appearance in the NBA Finals.
