Former Southern Miss player personnel analyst Tom Fratcher is the new assistant director of player personnel for Louisiana-Lafayette coach Mark Hudspeth according to a source.

This past season was Fratcher’s second in his position at Southern Miss. He was also a game charter for the NFL’s Cleveland Browns this last season.
Fratcher was not retained by new Golden Eagles coach Jay Hopson, who was hired in late January. Prior to Southern Miss, Fratcher was wide receivers coach at his alma mater, Henderson State, for two seasons.
He also assisted the NFL’s Buffalo Bills during training camp in 2012. He was a wide receiver and special teams player for Henderson State from 2009 through 2011 after two seasons playing at American River College.
Louisiana-Lafayette had a 4-8 record this past season, but Hudspeth returns 19 starters. That includes star running back Elijah McGuire, who is coming off his second straight 1,000-yard-plus rushing campaign.
