The University of Nevada has provided 21 documents including hundreds of text messages between newly hired Nevada assistant basketball coach Yann Hufnagel and a 24-year-old reporter who accused him of sexual assault, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal.

The hiring was controversial as he resigned from his post at Cal for violating the university's sexual harassment policy. University of Nevada-Reno president Marc Johnson said the additional information that has come forward has backed their confidence in the hiring.He also believes the evidence should make the public and students who voiced concern feel better.

Many of the texts within the transcript pertain to basketball and the team's recruiting targets. Both parties stopped exchanging flirtatious text messages in March 2015. He continued to feed her scoops on the team through May 2015.
