Baylor interim head coach Jim Grobe will retain all of Art Briles’s coaching staff, he announced Friday.
Grobe, a former head coach at Wake Forest and Ohio, was named to the position on Monday, four days after Briles was fired in wake of a sexual assault scandal surrounding the program and university.
Last week, an independent report completed by the Pepper Hamilton law firm found that the football program and athletic department had failed in its handling of a number of sexual assault and domestic violence cases involving football players. Grobe told reporters he knew of “absolutely no issues or problems” involving assistant coaches in those findings.
Baylor has dealt with 2016 recruits decommitting in the past week, and Grobesaid he wants to meet with parents of those players before they make decisions on staying or leaving the program.
Grobe confirmed his contract only runs through the 2016 season.
