The Vixens of Sweet Briar College managed to topple one of the most popular nicknames in all of sports.

The mighty Banana Slugs of UC Santa Cruz were stunned in the Final Four of The Great Mascot Debate by the ladies of the small liberal arts college in southwestern Virginia, sending the Vixens to the final. They will face the Alfred University Saxons, whose obliteration of the third-seeded Coe College Kohawks in the first round proved to be more than an anomaly.

The sixth-seeded Saxons, named after Alfred the Great, the former King of Wessex, an Anglo-Saxon kingdom in Great Britain, are seeking to complete their Cinderella run with a matchup against the Vixens, named after both a female fox and a "quarrelsome woman."

After six weeks of voting that trimmed the field from 32 to two, go forth and cast your final vote for the best nickname in Division III.

Voting ends Wednesday, July 6 at 10:30 a.m. ET.
