Alabama offensive lineman Alphonse Taylor was arrested Sunday and charged with DUI, according to the Tuscaloosa Country Sheriff's Office.
Taylor’s bond has been set at $1,000.
The senior started all 15 games at right guard for the Crimson Tide last season, helping the school claim its 16th national championship.
Taylor has been picked as a preseason second-team All-SEC guard by reporters, but is struggling to hold onto his starting position.
According to Rivals.com, coach Nick Saban wants Taylor, who weighs 345 pounds, to lose weight before the season.
