Ohio State leads AP’s all-time Top 100 rankings
The Associated Press released an all-time Top 100 list on Tuesday, compiling every poll dating back to 1936, when the AP’s rankings began.
Ohio State comes in at No. 1 out of 165 ranked schools, pulling from 1,103 polls over 80-plus years.
The AP used poll appearances for consistency, awarding one point per appearance, and added a 10 point bonus for AP championships. No. 1 rankings were worth two points.
The Buckeyes have appeared in an impressive 77.24% of total polls, winning five championships and taking the No. 1 ranking 105 times.
