LSU senior guard Josh Boutte was ejected from Saturday’s 16–14 loss to Wisconsin after a late cheap shot on safety D’Cota Dixon.
After Tigers quarterback Brandon Harris was picked off late in the fourth quarter by Dixon, sealing a Badgers victory, Boutte rushed over to the celebrating sophomore and leveled him to the ground. Dixon was down for a few seconds with his face in the turf before getting back up.
Boutte was immediately yanked off the field by LSU coaches and promptly tossed for a flagrant personal foul.
Wisconsin’s victory comes over a No. 5 Tigers team picked to finish second in the SEC west before the season.
