LSU has suspended lineman Josh Boutte one game for his late hit against Wisconsin.
LSU has suspended lineman Josh Boutte one game for his late hit at the end of the 16–14 loss to Wisconsin on Saturday, according to Stewart Mandel of Fox Sports.
LSU says Boutte also called D’Cota Dixon to apologize.
The hit came after Tigers quarterback Brandon Harris was picked off late in the fourth quarter by Dixon, which sealed the Badgers victory. Boutte rushed over to the celebrating sophomore and leveled him to the ground. Dixon was down for a few seconds with his face in the turf before getting back up.

Boutte was pulled off the field and talked to by coaches as the referee flagged him for a flagrant personal foul.
