Nebraska’s Tommy Armstrong Jr. carted off after scary injury

Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. was carted off the field during Saturday night’s game against Ohio State after a scary injury.
Armstrong was leveled out of bounds after scrambling for a first down, and hit his head against the ground. He lied motionless for a few minutes and was put on a stretcher to be taken off the field, giving a thumbs up to the crowd.
Nebraska released a statement following the play, relaying that Armstrong was briefly knocked unconscious, and was able to move his extremities and talk while down on the field.
He’s being taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
UPDATE (10:40 p.m. ET): Armstrong is out of the hospital, and back on the field.
