Report: LSU RB Leonard Fournette out vs. Texas A&M with ankle injury
LSU running back Leonard Fournette will not play in Thursday night's game against Texas A&M due to a lingering left ankle injury, reportsThe Advocate.
Fournette will miss his fourth game this season after injuring the ankle during in August. Fournette did play in last week's loss to Florida, but missed the majority of the second half. He finished with 12 carries for 40 yards.
Fournette, who ran for 1,953 yards and scored 22 touchdowns last season, did not travel with the team to College Station after missing practice all week.
Sophomore Derrius Guice is expected to take up the slack while Fournette is out. Guice is the Tigers leading rusher this season with 964 yards and 10 touchdowns,
In seven games this season, Fournette has rushed for 843 yards and scored eight touchdowns.
