Five-star recruit Bru McCoy, a USC wide receiver, is reportedly transferring to Texas, per AP News's Jim Vertuno.

A Texas spokesperson confirmed to Vertuno that McCoy was transferring to Longhorns and had filed financial aid paperwork after originally signing and enrolling early at USC.

McCoy entered the NCAA transfer portal on Thursday, according to 247Sports.

McCoy announced his commitment to the Trojans during the All-American Bowl. He made his decision one day before then-offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury departed USC to accept a head-coaching job with the Arizona Cardinals.

McCoy, listed at 6'2" and 205 pounds, was rumored to be considering the Longhorns as soon as his intent to transfer was announced.

The Mater Dei High School (Calif.) alum is rated the No. 1 athlete and No. 2 prospect in California, according to 247Sports Composite.
