MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — Bowling Green quarterback Jarret Doege has transferred to West Virginia.

Mountaineers coach Neal Brown announced Wednesday that Doege has enrolled in classes. Doege will have to sit out the 2019 season and will be eligible to play two more seasons.

Doege started all 12 games for the Falcons as a sophomore in 2018. He completed 62 percent of his passes for 2,600 yards and threw 27 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Brown was the offensive coordinator at Texas Tech earlier this decade when Doege’s older brother, Seth, broke several school passing records.
