The clock is ticking down in the 2019 regular season, but we still enter Week 11 with a muddled College Football Playoff picture. We should see some clarity this week. Alabama or LSU will earn their first loss in the SEC, and Penn State or Minnesota will do the same up north in the Big Ten. Yet the pair of losses won’t completely clear the Playoff field.

A slate of one-loss teams remain alive in the Playoff chase, eyeing a path back into the hunt for the national title. Oregon or Utah could enter the Playoff as a one-loss Pac-12 champ. Oklahoma is still alive despite its lone loss to Kansas State. Perhaps the most intriguing Playoff candidate is Georgia, whose road to the SEC title game appears clear after a win over Florida at the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party in Jacksonville on Nov. 2. The Bulldogs’ loss to South Carolina is an ugly mark on their résumé, but wins over Notre Dame, Auburn and either LSU or Alabama may be more than enough to snag the final CFP spot. There are plenty of Playoff possibilities as we charge toward bowl season.
