Former Arizona Star Kerr Kriisa Commits to West Virginia, per Report

The Estonia native led the Pac-12 in assists per game this season.

West Virginia has landed one of the transfer portal's biggest prizes two days after the national championship.

Former Arizona guard Kerr Kriisa has committed to play for the Mountaineers, according to a Wednesday afternoon report from Jonathan Givony of ESPN.

Kriisa, a native of Estonia who has represented his country internationally, has been a cornerstone of a rejuvenated Wildcats program under coach Tommy Lloyd. His 5.1 assists per game led the Pac-12 in 2023, after ranking second in the conference the year before with 4.7 assists.

With Kriisa running the point, Arizona earned No. 1 and No. 2 seeds in the last two NCAA tournaments, respectively, reaching the Sweet 16 in ’22 and bowing out in the first round against Princeton in ’23. Kriisa hurt his right shoulder in the Wildcats’ 95–84 win over Stanford in the Pac-12 quarterfinals on March 9.

West Virginia went 19–15 in a loaded Big 12 this season, losing to Maryland in the first round of the tournament after being seeded ninth.
