Recruiting Analysts Predict Bronny James Will Commit to USC

USC has appears to have emerged as the favorite to land Bronny James, after a new prediction logged by On3’s Jamie Shaw.

Bronny, the eldest son of Lakers star LeBron James, finished a phenomenal senior season at Sierra Canyon in March and recently competed in the Nike Hoops Summit in Portland, Oregon and the McDonald’s All-American game, where he finished with 15 points, four assists and one rebound.

As Bronny remains undecided on his future basketball plans, Shaw prediction pushes the Trojans up to a 72.3% chance to land the 6’ 3”, 190-pound guard according to On3. A prediction for USC has also been logged by an analyst at 247Sports

James’s stock has been on the rise during his senior year, and he’s ranked either four or five-stars by every major recruiting service.

Shaw’s prediction for James to make the Trojans’ program his college of choice is not a major surprise. On Jan. 17, James narrowed his college basketball choices to Ohio State, USC and Oregon, according to Luca Evans of the Los Angeles Times.

However, even in confirming the three options, James still stated his recruitment process remained open days later. While all signs point to James taking the college route, he could potentially enter the NBA G League, play for Overtime Elite or play in an overseas league instead.

His parents have previously stated that he is leaning more towards the college route, however.
