Arkansas QB Kade Renfro No Longer on Roster After Sexual Assault, Harassment Allegations
Arkansas backup quarterback Kade Renfro was dismissed from the team following allegations of sexual assault and harassment that were posted on social media earlier in the week, the school announced on Thursday.
The decision came after multiple women anonymously shared allegations, which included photos depicting physical abuse.
“Upon gaining knowledge of the allegations against a student-athlete earlier this week, we immediately informed the University’s Title IX office of the allegations,” Arkansas athletics said in a statement. “The student-athlete is no longer a member of the football team.”
Renfro is still enrolled at the university, per Sports Illustrated‘s Richard Johnson.
Renfro is a redshirt junior who was entering his third year with the program. He began his college career at Ole Miss, and transferred to Arkansas ahead of the 2021 season. He did not appear in any games for the Rebels, and missed the past two seasons while dealing with knee injuries.
