Shedeur Sanders Calls Out Matt Rhule After Colorado Win: ‘I Don’t Respect That’
Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders has no interest in backpedaling on your Buffalo-themed hot takes. Specifically if they come from Nebraska coach Matt Rhule, who opted to take the “all praise” approach with Colorado prior to their 36-14 loss to Coach Prime’s team.
After Colorado ran through the Cornhuskers, quarterback Shedeur Sanders made it known that he didn’t respect the approach by Rhule leading up to the game — and especially the things he said previously about his dad and the team.
“The coach said a lot of things about my pops, about the program. But now that he wants to act nice, I don’t respect that, because you’re hating on another man, you shouldn’t do that. So all respect was gone for them and their program....” Sanders said.
Following Sanders’s 500-plus passing performance in the team’s opening 45-42 win over TCU, the signal-caller didn’t disappoint in his encore performance. Sanders completed 31-of-42 passes for 393 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for one score as well.
Next up for Coach Prime, Sanders and Colorado’s explosive offense is a date with Colorado State, followed by two ranked matchups against No. 13 Oregon on the road and No. 6 USC at home.
