ESPN’s ‘College GameDay’ Heading to Notre Dame vs. Ohio State in Week 4
As the 2023 college football season nears its fourth week, College GameDay is taking it back where it all began.
ESPN’s weekly pregame show will originate from South Bend, Ind. on Sept. 23, the network announced Saturday evening. No. 9 Notre Dame hosts No. 6 Ohio State next week for the first time in 27 years.
The Fighting Irish were the first program to host College GameDay when it began visiting campuses regularly, ahead of Notre Dame's much-hyped 1993 showdown with Florida State. This will be the Fighting Irish's 11th time hosting the program, tied with the Seminoles, Oregon and Tennessee for the sixth-most in history.
Both the Buckeyes and Notre Dame took care of business Saturday in authoritative fashion. Ohio State destroyed Western Kentucky 63-10, while the Fighting Irish blew out Central Michigan 41-17.
Previous College GameDay host locations this season include Charlotte (for South Carolina-North Carolina), Tuscaloosa, Ala (for Texas-Alabama). and Boulder, Colo. (for Colorado State-Colorado).
