Paul Finebaum Crushes Lane Kiffin After Suffering Another Loss to Nick Saban
Alabama picked up a convincing 24-10 win against Ole Miss on Saturday, despite the Crimson Tide’s offensive woes in back-to-back weeks against Texas and South Florida.
The victory against Ole Miss positioned Alabama to remain in this year’s conversation for an SEC title. But beyond that, Nick Saban registered a fourth consecutive win against Lane Kiffin since his former assistant took over the Rebels’ program.
Kiffin oversaw an Ole Miss offense averaging close to 53 points per game through its first three matchups this season. Yet despite Alabama’s recent struggles, ESPN’s Paul Finebaum believes Saban will never lose to his former assistant no matter how long he coaches.
“Nick Saban was facing his favorite target in Lane Kiffin,” Finebaum said on ESPN’s Get Up! On Wednesday. "That’s an automatic win. From now on, we will say that because Lane Kiffin will never beat Nick Saban if Saban coaches to be 100 years old.”
Prior to Alabama’s win on Saturday, the Crimson Tide averaged a total of 45 points in the prior three matchups against Ole Miss and registered an average margin of victory of 14 points in those contests.
